Trees are a symbol of life. The Living Tree at Calvary is an oak tree. Oak trees have deep roots that hold them strong and solid … just as Calvary Presbyterian Church is strongly and solidly rooted in this community. The leaves are a visible sign that the tree is alive.
Memory plaques placed on the Tree of Life are a way to remember, honor, or perpetuate all the things important in life and keep them alive. Honor someone by giving a leaf to highlight the Tree of Life. Leaves can be dedicated for any occasion: wedding, anniversary, birth, death, baptism, confirmation, any special event or just because you love someone.
Our Tree of Life sculpture is a hand-carved oak trunk with brass and copper leaves and is displayed in the Narthex of Calvary Presbyterian Church. It was donated in memory of C. Edward Moshier for his love of family and church by his loving and devoted wife, Joyce and his children, Laurie and Mark.
Your donation and dedication will be recognized with an engraved plate added to a brass or copper leaf.
To order your memory leaf simply complete the order form, and mail a copy with your payment (make checks payable to Calvary Presbyterian Church) to The Living Tree, Calvary Presbyterian Church, 120 South Street, Newburgh, New York 12550. You may indicate how your donation to the Tree of Life is used. (If usage is not designated, funds will be added to the General Fund.) Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
If you have any questions, please call the church office at 845-562-8730. Thank you for your generosity.
