Once again because of NYS PAUSE there is not much to report as far as progress at Calvary. We are keeping our fingers crossed that Governor Cuomo will let contractors go back to work this week. If so cleaning in the sanctuary will resume.
Jim F wrote the following earlier this week:
Greeting All – Good news. Electricians from American Eagle Electric, located on Renwick St. in Newburgh, will begin replacing wiring and lighting in our sanctuary tomorrow morning. Some of the wiring is more than 75 years old and is frayed in some locations. Several fuse panels will be combined into a single circuit breaker panel The lighting, including the chandeliers, will be upgraded to energy efficient LEDs. We are able to do these upgrades because of the scaffolding that has been erected to allow for the cleaning and the painting of the sanctuary ceilings, rafters and walls. – With much gratitude – Jim
